What sparked your creative journey? Who (or what) inspires you the most in your creative field?

My creative journey was sparked by a deep love for music and its ability to evoke emotions and tell stories. But inspiration takes many forms, and I’m constantly energized by other artistic mediums that explore the vast spectrum of human experience and innovation.

Describe your creative process. Where do you find your best ideas?

My process is definitely on the wild side! It’s very random and spontaneous. Inspiration can strike anywhere, whether I’m lost in a song, engrossed in a good book, or even shredding on my skateboard. These everyday activities spark unexpected connections and ideas that fuel my creativity.

What’s (are) your biggest creative challenge(s), and how do you overcome it (them)?

Artist’s block is a real struggle, and I definitely find myself stuck sometimes too. One of the things I’ve learned is that stepping away from the art itself can be really helpful. When I’m feeling uninspired, I love to crank up some music, lose myself in a good book, or even hit the skatepark. This escape and engaging in another creative activity lets me loosen up and come back to my art with fresh eyes.

How do you define “creativity” and what role do you believe creativity plays in society??

Creativity, for me, is the lifeblood that flows through everything I do. It’s not just about picking up a paintbrush in my free time; it’s the way I approach every aspect of my life, from my art to my professional work.

In society, I believe creativity plays a crucial role as a mirror we hold up to the world. We, as artists and creators, take the events, moments, and constant change swirling around us and translate them into something everyone can connect with. It’s a way to make sense of the complex world, to spark reflection, and maybe even inspire action. Through our different mediums, we share these interpretations and experiences, fostering a sense of shared humanity and understanding.

What project are you currently most excited about, and why?

Mixed Media Sculpture project stay tuned! 

Where do you see your creative field evolving in the next few years?

I see the creative field on the cusp of a fascinating transformation. Technology is rapidly evolving, and I believe it’s on a collision course with the arts, merging to form entirely new ways of creating and experiencing art.

This is an incredible opportunity, not a threat. My role, and the role of all artists I believe, is to embrace this new reality. We must become the bridge between the human touch of art and the vast potential of technology.

By blending these two forces, we can create art that pushes boundaries, ignites imaginations, and fosters a deeper connection between the human experience and the ever-changing world around us. Imagine interactive installations that respond to our emotions, virtual reality paintings that transport us to entirely new worlds, or music that evolves based on our input. The possibilities are mind-boggling!

That’s why I’m so excited to be a part of this movement. I see myself using technology as a tool to enhance my creativity, not replace it. I want to experiment with new mediums, push the boundaries of what art can be, and use my work to spark conversations about the role of technology in our lives. It’s a chance to create a new kind of art, one that’s both innovative and deeply human.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to aspiring creatives?

Stay creative no matter what! This capitalistic world can be discouraging but keep making ART!
